Wellington, August 10, Certain amendments were made last night in the Highway Boards Empowering Act. The proviso in clause 6 was amended by increasing "five per cent" to 12 J per cent; one shilling to 2s 6d; and one penny to threepence. In the debate on Tairoa's motion, Mr Rolleston severely criticised the report on Native Reserves at Greyroouth.
