Dunedin, July 23. At a meeting of cricketers, it was resolved to accept the Canterbury offer to arrange for a visit irom the English eleven, who are expected in Australia about the end of the present year. A public meeting at Lawrence has adopted a memorial urging upon the Government the construction of the Tuapeka railway. The Board of Health recommends the adoption of a clause in the Public Health Bill, now before the House, making vaccination before landing compulsory upon all persons arriving from foreign parts who have not previously been vaccinated.
