Auckland, July 16. The Nebraska arrived with 37 passeugers after a passage of 16| days from Honolulu. ]Dr. Philson, the Health Officer, has decided she may enter the harbor, there being no disease on board. London, June 20. The American Senate has accepted the supplemental article to the treaty of Washington, withdrawing the indirect claims, but with a modification binding Great Britain not to hold America responsible (or indirect damages in future negociations between them. The British Government was dissatisfied and asked for further modifications. America declared her own proposition to be her ultimatum. The Geneva Tribunal met on June 15, according to treaty, Count Selopsis of Italy, presiding. Barnkroft Davis presented the American case, and declared himself ready to proceed. Lord Tinterdine presented a portion of the British case, and asked for an adjournment of the Tribunal for eight months. The Tribunal considered the adjournment with closed doors, and the result is unkuown. On the 19th the Tribunal, adjourned to the 26th, which is considered a fevorable sign of the settlement of the difficulty. The representatives of the press were officially informed that they would bo admitted as soon as certain delicate questions were settled as to the Tribunal's decision on the adjournment. It is expected next session that the official correspondence between the British and American Governments on the Alabama claim?, consisting of 53 despatches, wili be published On (he seventeenth, Henry won the Ascot cup. The boat race between the London acd American clubs was easily won by the iormer by 20 lengths. The London builders began a lock cat to-doy, and 20,000 journeymen are thrown out of employment.
