MELBOURNE.
June 29. — The Ministerial elections are all in favor of the Ministry by three to two. Tbe Roman Catholic Bishop Gold has issued a pastoral dictating opposition "even to shedding blooc>." This it is believed, had an effect on the elections favorable to the Ministry. Father Corbett delivered a political sermon, but subsequently retracted all be had said in a letter to that effect. The interval of 200 miles in telegraphic communication with England is bridged by horse express, and messages are expected to occupy eight days in transitu. Arrived. — Albion from Wellington, Prosperity from Buller River, Eleanor from Greymouth. Sailed. — Brigantine Belle, spoken on tbe 19th off the Kent group. Flour £16 to £16 10a; wheat 75.; oats, New Zealand, 3s. Id. to 3s. 3d. Sugars firm.
