To the Editor of tub Nelson Evening Mail' Sir, — I read in your Saturday's irsue a paragraph headed "Mr. O'Conor at Westport," purporting, to give a telegraphic account of the meeting held by him the night previous, I canr.ot but think that these telegrams were dictated by Mr. Kc-id or some one of his party. I was shewn, cm Saturday two private telegrams from Westport — one speaking in general terms of the meeting, and stating that Mr. Reid had accused Mr. Stafford of being friendly to Mr. O'Conor for political party purposes, the other said — '• Meeting good, disturbed only by Reid's mob."
