Nelson Football Club. — A general meeting of the above club was held in the Volunteer Fire Brigade Room (kindly lent for the occasion) last evening, and was very well attended, H. Goulstone, Esq., in the chair. The following gentlemen were elected as a committee for the season — Messrs. Kempthorne, Adams, Monro, Barnicoai, and Tennent, the latter gentleman being re-elected as secretary and treasurer. It was proposed by Mr. Adams and carried unanimously that the subscriptions for the season be raised to five shillings. A vote of thanks to the secretary for his services during the past year, and one to the chairman for his kindness in presiding, terminated the proceedings.
