A Bit of highly authentic intelligence is supplied by a Paris journal, La Liberte, which informs us that "Lord Lyons will be replaced by Lord Loftus, as it is proposed to appoint Prince Alfred Viceroy of India and the Australian colocies, with Lord Lyons as Under- Governor, to reside in Melbourne." A Guild of ladies in England is proposed to be formed to promote modesty ot dress, to do away with extravagance, aud substitute the neatness and sobriety suitable to Christian women. Miss Harrison, of Swanage, Dorset, is acting as organiser of the guild. For remainder of news see fourth page.
