RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

This Day.
James Kearse, Alfred Carter, and Henri/ Rough were charged with being drunk and disorderly^ and assaulting Hugh Corrigao last night. Prisoners were remanded until Mouday, Bail was applied for but refused.
\Tames Tkomas was charged by Emily Thomas, his wife, with unlawfully deserting his children, and leaving them without means of support.
Mr. Pitt appeared for the defendant, who pleaded not guilty.
The hearing of the case was adjourned until Saturday next.
