Meeting op Germans. — A meeting of our German settlers took place at the Fleece Hotel last night, when Mr. Wiesenhavern, the chairman, annouuced that a further sum of £20 had been collected for the sufferers by the war. Perseverance Company. — An extraordinaiy meeting of the shareholders, to take into consideration the report of Mr. J. C. Richmond, and to elect a director in the place of Mr. Goulsfcone, is to be held at the Assembly Room, on Monday evening. Hope Sunday School. —We call attention to an advertisement stating that a sermon, on behalf of this institution, will be preached iv the schoolroom, to-morrow, and that a tea meeting and public meeting will be held on the following Tuesday, when the chair will be taken by Mr. W. M. Biss. Supreme Court. — The Criminal Sittings of the Supreme Court commence on Monday morning at 10 o'clock. There are eleven cases set down for trial, six of them being against Francis Harris, late Sub-Treasurer on the West Coast, one for larceny, and five for forgery. The others are Mary Needham for uttering a forged cheque, Ursula Carroll for attempting to commit suicide, — Burke for assault, and — Lynde for embezzlement, two charges.
