CORRESPONDENCE.

-u— — — — To the Editor of the Nelson Evening MtiL-Sin-Having heard certain remarks upon the late 1 accident -which resulted in the total destruction of Mr. Jacobsen's flax-mill, at Ta'caka, remarks" which may mislead the feelings of the public, I think it right as a lover of Brotherhood and for the sake of the sufferer, to explain the circumstance alluded to. — The two tons and a half of dressed flax which came across, went to Mr. Buckeridge who paid debts with the proceeds, which, besides the total loss of clothing, carpentering tools and machinery, left Mr. Jacobsen penniless.. Hoping that the sufferer will meet with the public sympathy and will be enabled to start business again. I am, &c, Sympathising;. Nelson July 28, 1870.
