Augarde quotes Culliford shares £l ss. paid, at £l 6s. and at par. Persoverance shares £l 10s. paid, at £2 ss. Business done this day. Suburban North Reef Prospecting Company. — We have great pleasure in directing the attention of the public to the Prospectus of the above Company, which will bo found in another column. The Company having acquired the right of prospecting a large tract of country in the immediate vicinity of the city — containing promising auriferous indications — is now in a position to commence operations on the necessary funds being forthcoming. We therefore trust the share list will be speedily filled up, that a practical development of the mineral resources of the district may no longer be delayed. Local Committee op Education. — The election of five members of the Committee took place at the Courthouse to-day, Mr. R. Burn in the chair. The chairman stated that the retiring members were Messrs. Sinclair, Percy, Irvine, and Luckie, and Mr. J. R. Hooper having gone to England created another vacancy. The following members were then nominated : — Mr. Percy, proposed by Mr. Drew and seconded by Mr. Watts ; Mr. Luckie, proposed by Mr. Drew and seconded by Mr. Healy ; Mr. D. Bums, proposed by Mr. Hibble and seconded by Mr. Clements ; Mr. Siramouds, proposed ' by Mr. Sunley and seconded by Mr. Walcot ; Mr. Wigzell, proposed by Mr. Hibble and seconded by Mr. Drew ; Mr. Stanton, proposed by Mr. Clements and seconded by Mr. Drew. A show of hands was then called for, when the election was declared to have fallen upon the five first named gentlemen. After a vote of thanks to the chairman, the meeting separated.
