A Missing Buoy. — Some two months since, the buoy which was placed at the mouth of the Riwaka river, broke from its moorings, and not baviDg since been heard of was given up as lost. «It now appears, however, from a paragraph which appeared in a late Wellington, paper, that a peculiar looking object being seen off Taranaki the other day, an expedition was made to examine the monster, when it was found to be the missing buoy bearing the mark of the Nelson Province. Mr. Cross has, we understand, sent up to Taranaki to recover his lost treasure.
