{ (rFROIVI OUR OW.N-*. correspondent). CHRiSTCai&RCH, May 13,1 p.m. ; Mr. Fox addressed the citizens of Christchurch last -Bight, at the Town Hall s when 700 people were present. The main- subject of his-address was the history of a-he Maori war -during the last two years. Mr. Fox reiterated -the statement he Eaade->Gt the Otago .meeting as to the war expenditure; and charged the Wellington corregfoudent of the-Oiago Daily Times as a d<3uble-dyed scoundrel, for obtaining secret' Govern ment .information. He •; likewise stated lhat it was the intention* of the General Government to ask for a. loan for the purpose of making roads in the -North Island.
