To the. Editor op the Nelson.Etening Mail. Sir/— I hope nothing I lately wrote regarding the 'employment of Goor--k'has was construed into any wish to see the Colonial forces replaced by Asiatics. Qur troops in the North have, I think, done wonders; and experienced as they and their officers now are in bush Warfare, it would,;-! think, be very injudicious . to replace them by any other troops.
