STREET LAMPS.

To the Editor of the Nelson Evening Mail. Sik. — The street lamps seem to be attractive objects to ihe stone, the catapult, and the ca twheel, as damages are almost daily committed upon ihem, to the great annoyance of the public, and a greac deal of trouble and expense to the •lamplighter, who is alone responsible for the repair of all lamps in the first place. If all who are benefitted by the night lights, would promptly give information when they know who has either wilfully or accidentally done such damage, the guilty party would be brought to justice," and compelled to pay the cost. I am, &c, J. Sigley June lOth, 1869. Lamplighter.
