The Nelson Evening Mail. SATURDAY, MAY 8, 1869.
Db. Irvine's letter which appears in our present issue came in too late to allow of our replying to it to-day. We had fully intended to allow the controversy to end as it now stands, hut there are oue or two remarks in the letter in question which we cannot permit to pass unnoticed, and we shall therefore refer to it again on' Monday.
