This Day. (Before J. Sharp, Esq., R.M.) Thomas Fern, alias Tar au tiki Tom, was charged with being drunk and disorderly last night. The prisoner had beeu com- , mitted to gaol on a previous occasion for , a similar offence, and this was the fourth time he had been before the Court since his release. Prisoner was discharged on giving a promise that he would at once sign the pledge.

Healy and Leslie v. Edwin Snow. — Claim for £1 o*. 6d., for goods supplied. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs, 9s. The same v. Archibald Henry. —Claim for £2 18s. 6d., for goods supplied. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs, 9s. Amount to be paid witliiu two months. Wm. Alison v. James Anthony. —This was an action for £36, the price of 60 fafc wethers supplied to defendaut on the 6th January. Defendant did not appear. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs, £1 15s. J. De Carle v. A. G. Brock. —The same v. E. J. Brock. —The same v. Eliza Reynolds.—These cases were further adjourned until Wednesday 24th instant. Morrisou, Sclanders, & Co. v. Knight. — Claim for £24 14s. 4d. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs, £1 13s. Half the amount to be paid now, and the balance in six weeks. Alexander M'Donald, a farmer, residing at Takaka, a person of unsound mind, was i brought before the Magistrate, and on the testimony of Drs Cotterell and Vickerman, who considered him not fit to be at large, was committed to the Lunatic Asylum. '
