AUCKLAND.
Through the courtesy of the Purser of the s. Phoebe, we have Auckland files to the 28th instant, we extract the following: — Gold discovery at the Thames. Messrs. Brighton & Rawdon have just returned to Auckland, from a prospecting trip in the Thames country; they struck payable gold at a place called Ivauranga, they were however driven from the spot by the natives, as soon as the payable nature of the ground was tested: they describe the ground as a poor man's diggings, where any man can earn from £3 to £5 per week, and the ground sufficient in extent to afford employment to 500 miners. — N.
