SHEARING TROUBLE AT TABLELANDS.

Trouble has arisen at Tablelands, Mr. Riddiford's station, over the question of daggy sheep. brought on to the shearing boards, resulting in the dismissal of two men.. Mr. M, Laracy explained .the position tt> a "Times" reporter last week, and mentioned that the matter had been reported to th« Labor Department as being a breach of tho award. He added: "In the meantime the shearers remaining at Tablelands are awaiting instructions, which went forward yesterday, on no amount to do any dagging, which we contend is not shearing. The one question that I think may lead to trouble at tho end of our present agreement is in regard to daggy sheep. My reason for saying this is because if there is no provision made for dagging sheep, many employers may dispense with the trouble of dagging, or even crutching their sheep, which would be equivalent to a loss of from 3s. to 4s. ner 100 to the shearer. We have endeavored to avoid trouble wherever possible, and things hc"<» been working smooth!? until this difficulty arose, t mar add tbnt the butchers hoy« absolute)? n»fu««i to kill das?-r qhfifiTV on ihn -round thnt ft, Totftrds thnm in their work, pud. n rnf«» of thrir. tools, end the shearers hay* refused likewise."
