THE FEDERATION.
"The Federation of Labor must be outed!" is the cry of the grasping employer and the unthinking worker in the country. For the sake of argument, let us imagine the Federation of Labor beaten out of a face while the les9 militant of the workers stand by. The next move on the part of the secretaries and well-paid officials of the employers' organisations would be to break the next most militant of the workers' organisations, and on it they would focus their attention. I do not blame them if the workers of this country allow themselves to be gulled by the parrot cry of the employers that they are prepared to concede fair conditions.
Will someone inform mc of oue instance where the woolkings, the goldbugs, or any others of those who use the toilers have ever increased wages or improved conditions without being forced to do so?
When the Federation of Labor, as it is to-day, is beaten —if beaten it should be —those who are of it will be found still fighting against that which we know to be wrong. That being so, how can we be killed?
Wake up, you workers of New Zealand, and to a man let us join together and "out" the Government which is responsible for the present crisis.
They administer the law and beat you with it every time. Question: How long will you stand it? Don't forget— Waihi is not lost. The people of New Zealand believe in democracy; they believe in majority rule, and why then allow for one moment a minority to coerce the majority?
What occurred in Waihi will throughout New Zealand if we do not watch it.
Let all those representatives of tie working-class in this country get together and discuss the situation.
Our freedom is at stake and at all costs we must have majority rule.
