Words from Westport

KEERING ACTIVE. Just at present everything is going splendid. Last week there was a big run on The Maou'land Worker. Ths local stationers were running round to the union office, for extra copies, but sorry to say we had run out. If the union men who have finished with their paper would only pass it on they would be spreading the light. The latest fashion is Wobker bicycles. On the maker's name in front, of the bike is a small white gummed sticker: "Have you sampled The Worker—it is for you and yours." Our lady friends are at work this week distributing the Workers. What do you think of that, Mr. Editor? We are enjoying plenty of bad weather this last two or three weeks. It makes it very uncomfortable ior laborers. The navvies have put in very little time this last couple of months; but for all that their hearts axe big, and they don't mind paying the levy. One member when paying mc last pay said it was worth 10s. a week as good sport watching tho race. Only a few short years ago it was a great honor to come back from the battlefield and have a medal pinned on your breast. To-day, judging by the talk of the bulk of the, workers, it is an honor to have a broad arrow in black paint on your coat and pants. 0 jail! Whore is your sting? We were to have had a, big demonstration in Westport, but it is postponed. All arrangements were made for a big day's show to protest against Massey and Co.. but you will hear something about it litter.

I see extra supplies of Tin*; Worker are coming into the district; it is good business.—D. MOLOX KY.

tractor conceding all demands, except discharge ot two men, whom he agreed to shift to other work.—COOKE.
