At a meeting of the Painters' Union the result of a plebiscite vote re joining tho Labor Party was made known. Out of over 200 members, some 37 voted for and 25 against, so the body is now a political organisation. Of the 13 present most 6eomed very uneasy about it, just seeming to realise what had happened. Amongst the correspondence received earlier iv the evening was a letter from the Auckland I.W.W. asking us to protest against the jailing of Ettor and Giovanitti, which resolution was carried after a lob of explanation by one of the Reds.
