PUPONGA POINTS.

Loyal to the Levy,

At a meeting of the Puponga Miners' Union, held on June 30, it was unanimously decided to adhere to the 10 per cent, levy struck by the Federation of Labor in aid of the miners of Waihi and Reefton. At a previous meeting a resolution was passed to tho same effect, but a few resented the levy on pay-day, a fact traceable, no doubt, to the misrepresentations of the capitalist press. Hoivevcr, after the true state of affairs, as set forth in Tut; Woiikeh, bad been pointed out, together with a statement of a recent arrival from Waihi (an engine-driver member of the Waihi Workers' Union), full concurrence in and adherence to the levy was unanimously decided upon.

We talk of loyalty; if it is to be something more than lip-loyalty, let us stand firmly by the Federation and our fellow-workers of Waihi and Reefton and aid them by all tho means at our command to secure the triumph of their cause. Let us show the, exploiters of Labor that we are not going to tolerato such things as the formation of scab unions, which aro nothing but tools of the employing class, or to allow deathdealing appliances to bo forced upon tho workers to operate. Fellow-workers, put on the fighting spurs, fight more than ever now and till this cursed system of wage-slavery is wiped right out. Let us show solidarity during the present, and keep the spurs on. —GADFLY.
