P. C. Webb presided. Messrs J. Roberts and G. G. Farland were elected trustees. New Executive. The elections resulted as under: — — First Ballot.— J. Dowgray, 29: M. Fagan, 25; E. J. Howard. 23; H. T. Armstrong, 22; R. N. Ridd, 19; P. Richardson, 19; J. E. Duncan, 16; P. Eraser, 15; H. Kennedy, 12; H. Vovoo, 11; J. A. King, 9; E. Canham, 9'; W. Bromilow, 8. The three last dropped out. —Second Ballot. — J. Dowgray, 31; H. T. Armstrong, 30; E. J. "Howard, 24: M. Fagan, 24: R. N. Ridd, 23: P. Eraser, 18; P. Richardson, 15; J. E. Duncan, 14; H. Voyco, 14; H. Kennedy, 11. The first six were declared elected. It was rcsolv<sd that tho general secretary also be the general treasurer. On the recommendation of the executive, it was agreed that the transport and agricultural departments each elect a representative to the national executive. Waihi and Reefton Troubles. Tho conference further considered the Waihi strike and Reefton lock-out, tho matters ultimately being left entirely in the hands of the executive.
