P. C. Webb presided. The minutes unread to date were continued. New Executive Members. It Avas reported that E. Canham (Auckland Wateisidcrs) and M. Latacy (Shearers' Association) had been elected to tho executive ny their respective departments. "Maorilantl Worker." The financial report of Titk M a okt I.anu Woukeu Mas further considered. and it was decided that a board of three be appointed by the executive. The following was carried: ''That the matter of levy stand over till delegates or organiser return to their unions and explain all details, and that the board have power to deal witn and strike a levey at a later dale it deemed necessary, provided the limited liability scheme is not successful, and that delegates pledge themselves to do their best to obey the mandate of the board.' 1 The remit from the Waikato TJnion re etiginedrivers was adopted. An instruction from conference to oxeciiiivc re strike procedure was carried. Closing Details. It was decided that each industry represented at conference elect spokesman of a deputation in tlie afternoon to the Minister for Labor regarding certain remits. It was arranged to hold a smoke social in the evening. In closing the conference, Mr. Webb urged that delegates should return to their unions with a fine determination to make the organisation triumphant in its principles. At 1 o'clock the conference terminated with three- cheers for the Federation of Labor and extra cheers for the Waihi and I.oefton men and the Social ftevohltion. Vivo la Federation!
