MY ADVICE TO MINERS.
The following stirring verses appear*. Ed in "Justice" during the currency of tho coal strike: — Dowu with tools, ascend the top. Never waver, never stop ; Smite those tyrants neck and crop Who live upon your labor. Come, ye miners from below, Strike one united, solid blow; Crush the mighty giant foe Who so long enslaved you. Upon tho surface stand erect, Your modest claim thoy can't rejects As men possessing self-respect liaise jour banner high. Life and limb you risk each day, Toiling hard for little pay; Now it's lime for you to say: "We won't endure this longer." Tlie landlords and tlie masters know Their wealth doth all from labor flowj. Then off your back the loafers throw You can no longer bear them. Down your pick and shovel lay Until you get eight bob a day, And if they don't agree to pay Strike and paralyse them. —AY.
