OPERA HOUSE MEETING.

Federation delegates addressed another largely-attended meeting in the Opera House on Sunday evening. P. C. Webb presiding. In addition to th< Federation -delegates, there were also seated upon the platform delegates to the Drivers' Federation Conference. H. Hunter, secretary of the Drivers' Federation, moved and R. Semple seconded: "That this meeting strongly protests against the injustice inflicted on the drivers by tlio awards obtained in the various centres from tho Arbitration Court, whioh compel their workers to work a largo number of hours per week in attendance upon horses without payment, and is of opinion that, il the drivers fail to get their grievances remedied in a constitutional manner, tho Drivers' Federation is warranted in taking such further action as may bo deemed necessary." Tho resolution was put and carried unanimously and with acclamation. Other addresses were given by P. IT. Hickey, E. J. Howard, R. S. Ross, and J. R. King. The mectino; concluded with cheers for organised labor and the Waihi miners.
