AUCKLAND, May M. The Auckland Waterside Workers' Union met this morning to consider the question of the strike levy of 10 per cent, suggested by the Hodoration of Labor, there were about lot) members present, which was considered a \c-ry Kond attendance. It was unaniinoasly decided to vote a sum of Clot! fo the strike fund —£100 for the Waihi men, and £o0 for the Reefton strikers. The prevailing opinion wis that to vote a lump sum would be the most convincing form of sympathy with the strikers, since it would probably take a woek or two to accumulate a fund by imposing a levy as suggest eel. In addition to the gr-.mi of €150, the union decided to open a list for voluntary subscriptions, and it is expected that a considerable sum will be raised in this way.
