RAILWAYMEN'S SUPERANNUATION.

The Quarterly meeting of the Railways Superannuation Fund Board was held at Wellington on April 15. Ordinary retiring allowances amounting to an annual charge of £2247 7s. 7d. were granted in respect of 29 persons. Included in the amount were some small additions te allowances already granted. Allowances totalling £181 a year were granted to fivo widows and seven children. Refunds of contributions amounting to £2370 Gs. 7d. were granted to contributors retired from the service before coming on the fund. It was reported that there was a sum of £230,----000 standing to the credit of tlie fund.
