The Disappointing Doukhobors.
The Canadian capitalist paper, the 'Province," is demanding that no more of the Russian Doukb'-hors shall he allowed to settle in Canada. It is admitted they aro not aggressive, and i is admitted they are industrious. Blithe trouble is that they labor for themselves. Populate Canada witli Don khobors, and you threaten the exploiting interests. Tbe Doukbobors work or-co-operptive lines. They till tbe soil Tho community sells the surplus product for what it will fetch, and bnyi; what it needs. Willi its profits the. community buys more land and starts new colonies upon the same co-operative lines.
