AMERICA'S PAY-ROLL.
Not more than 10 per cent, of the industrial wage-workers of the Tinted States earn over 1000 dollars a year. Half of then make less than 500 dollars a year. . Hardly one woman in the industries ■earns 1000 dollars a two per coiit. make aa much as 750 dollars a year, and three-fourths of all women so employed make less than 400 dollars a year. Taking tho more highly-paid trades, it is found that more than half get less tlian 15 dollars a week. Of the jewellers 47 per coiit. exceed lhat income; boot and shoe workers, 42 per cent.; foundry avid machinists, 32 per cent.; papermakers, 18 per cent.; furniture hands, 17 per cent.; leather milkers, 16 per cent. AH but those percentages earn loss than. 2.50 dollars a day, or less than 730 dollars a year. And those are skilled trades.
