VICTIMISATION.
Dear Comrade, —I read with regret an account of t'he victimisation of "the secretary of tlie Hikurangi Union. At this juncture, when the "Federation is making such rapid strides, especially in Auckland, I think all the- strength of our Federation should be brought" to bear to put a stop to this dastardly treatment. I can speak with some feeling ■g.n this matter, as one who, through being continually forced to refute lies, misstatements and underhand trickery directed against the Federation by a few members of my Union, has gained some prominence as an agitator; and although no special instance has yet occurred, it is common talk that the employers are shortly going to institute a general boycott of the' agitators, and one comrade of mine, "who has a wife and large family, has already beeir Without the slightest wish to criticise in any way the policy of the Federation, I would suggest that they at once make a firm stand on this point. I personally can. and have, put up with the sneers and jeers which are the lot of all agitators for truth and justice, but economic law in all powerful, and if the attempts of the capitalists to suppress free speech are to go unheeded we shall either have to seek other employment or be silent. Now, comrades all, it is up to you; the fight is commencing in real earnest, so leb us stand firmly shoulder to shoulder and show the bosses all on tin's point, as oh ail etli-o.rs. Aucfriftiixl.
