TO CARPENTERS.

"Red Flag," Perth, writes:—-It is only recently that through the medium of the local Socialists' Society I became a reader of your paper. I .admire it for the "grand fight it is making for Industrial Unionism, and know that you will be pleased to hear that in the eight hours' procession in this city the Amalgamated Carpenters' and Joiners' Association had a message for the workers both on the march and on the side-walks. The carpenters' display was indeed tastefulj and one to make the heart of any militant unionist swell with proper pride. It conveyed the following message to the world and his wife: —:"Workers of the world, unite," "The world's -wealth: for the world's workers," "The emancipation of the workers is the world's progress." So far, I you have not been able to muster the carpenters into the New Zealand Federation of Labor. May they soon be numbered' among the militant industrial unionists. "
