NEARING TRIUMPH.
Tom Jones writing from England to Bob Hogg, says: —Tom Mann has undoubtedly shaken things up since lie came Home. I wish we had a. hundred like him. Anyhow, our activity here will encourage you and the other comrades out there to renewed effort. Socialism is nearing its triumph. Work on, comrades. It will be well to know that we have done our share. The spirit that is being displayed here has surprised mc. It is testimony to the work we have done in the past. We had a good time at the Easter meet. I jo wish you could be present at one of our "meets." There were 2000 of us at Warwick, including Blatchford, Grayson, and others —all Clarionett.s. It was grand.
At one of his meetinigs H. M. Fitzgerald dealt with the Marxian doctrine that all wealth is produced by labour, and went far enough back to show that the tools of production which some aver are placed in the hands of the workers by the capitalist, are also made .by workers. He also proved that the reason the workers do not own these tools is because the laws are framed and.administered by the ruling class, which happens to be at the present time the capitalist class. The Socialist move-' ment was one that sought to change the order of Government, so that the makers of the tools, viz., the work _ig class, shall be in a position to alter the laws so as to allow the makers of the tools and the users of them all the wealth they produce by their united labour.
