SOUTH AFRICA'S PEOPLE.
INCREASE OF THE COLOURED RACES.
The census shows the population, of the South African Union, including all races, to be 5,938,499; Europeans, 1,278,0.25 and natives, 4,061,082. A lTotablo feature is the shrinkage in the coast .towns, except Durban, and the increases at Johannesburg and Pretoria.
There is a- steady increase of the natives and other coloured races.
