Reports from the West Coast state that the lock-out between the Paparoa Mining Company and the Union lias

been, satisfactorily adjusted. The men cam© out some three weeks ago through the action of the management in dismissing the president and secretary of the Union. The matter was placed ru the hands of tho Federation, and as the result of negotiations with the company, a basis of settlement was agreed to, which was submitted to the N.Z. Coal Mine Owners' Association for ratification.
