At a meeting of the Karangohake Socialist Party tho folloAving resorption Avas passed:—"That this branch of the N.Z. Socialist Party emphatically declines to entertain Prof. Mills' "Unity proposals" in any shape whatever. We believe, Avith Prof. Mills in 'The Struggle for Existence/ that the only possible safeguard is the strictest possdble regulations in the Socialist Party organisations against all fusions, bargains, or mutual understandings of any sort Avith any other political party regardless of its 'name, purpose or power.' "
