A DEBATE WANTED.

Dear Sir, —I attended the Wellington ' anti-conscription meeting, .at which! there was a few in favour of compulsory military -training. I have always been in favovir of fair criticism and freedom of speech. Therefore I think a debate on such a momentous question would be for the public good—■ when we would hear both side®—mare so, as the question has not been referred to the people. Hope someone able to take up the affirmative side of the question will volunteer services— yoti to appoint the speaker for the negative. I will contribute 6s towards necessary expenses, and I have mentioned the idea to a friend who will give other 5s. —I am, etc.,
