Dr Harry Emerson Fosdick tells this story about himself:— “One Saturday morning my father, leaving the house, said to my mother, ‘Tell Harry that he can cut the grass to-day—if he feels like it.’ Then after taking a few steps, he turned and added, ‘Tell him that he had better feel like it.”
