No Sign of Bodies Of Missing Women
(Per Press Association.) WESTPORT, Alarch 20. The search continued to-day for the bodies of Mrs. C. AI. Sargeant and Mrs. (’. A. Herd believed t » have been drowned when Airs. Sargeant’s csr plunged down an 80-foot bank from the Buller Gorge road into the river on Tuesday. Part of the car was found about halfway down tho liver from the scene of the accident but there were no bodies. Under police supervision the searchers walked down both banks. It is believed the bodies may have boen carried to sea and then washed ashore. All the beach for some miLrs will be patrolled to-morrow. In several previous drowninga much further up the river the bodies have been found on the beaches. If to-morrow's search is un* availing boats will be taken on to river on Wednesday.
