Palmerston North Junior Chamber of Commerce

There was a good gathering of members of the Palmerston North Junior Chamber of Commerce at a meeting held on Thursday evening, Mr. F. G. Parkinson presiding. Considerable discussion was centred on the need for more members to ensure the organisation being a success, plans for tho canvassing of certain portions of tho city being put forward. The aims of the chamber were expressed to members and reports were read on various schemes already in use which had originally been proposed by tho various chambers of commerce through out New Zealand. The following members were elected to the different departments of the organisation: Mr. Morrah, finances and membership; Mr. A. J. McKecknio, trade and commerce; Mr. G. Nash, publicity; Mr. A. M. Greenwood, rehabilitation; and Mr. W. L. Churnside, legislation. It was decided to hold meetings every first Tuesday in the month.
