Mr. K. W. Eglinton, managing secretary of the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board, has recovered from his illness and resumed duties. Major-General Kippenberger, who was recently wounded in Italy, has been flown to England and his wounds have healed, according to advice received by his relatives. 'Major-General Kippenberger’s request to remain, on active service has been accepted. Mr. George Johnston, of Matamau Street, Palmerston North, is in the Palmerston North Hospital undergoing treatment following an attack of pneumonia. Mr. Johnston is well-known among the older bowlers of the city as a member of the Northern Club and he will be wished a speedy return to health.
