DIEHARD GROUP WEAKENING Received Friday, 12.30 a.m. NEW YORK, March 16. Informed circles in London believe that Finland may accept what is regarded as Russia’s final offer for peace terms, says the New York HeraldTribune’s correspondent. Diplomatic quarters note the opposition to the terms in the Finnish Parliament, but agree that all the evidence avail a ole in London indicates that the diehard group is weakening and that the peace faction aided by the stimulus of heavy pressure from abroad has the internal fight under control. The 8.8. C. Finnish sendee last night broadcast a final warning to the Finnish people to accept the Russian terms. “Rejection means national disaster; acceptance means survival as an independent sovereign State.”
