“CANNONBALL EXPRESS” AIR SERVICE Received Monday, 7.56 p.m. WASHINGTON, March 12. The “cannonball express” air service connecting America and India is described as the world’s fastest transportation scheme. The cannonball makes a 24,000 miles round trip in 180 hours, providing special supplies for General Stilwell and bringing back mica, tungsten and other high priority goods. The speed was rocently Increased by five miles per hour by the removal of lOOlbs. of paint from each of the planes.
