Patriotic Entertainers
Jlr. A. G. Hogg presided at a meeting of the Pahiatua Patriotic Entertainers. Jlr. Greaves referred to the recent death of an active and willing worker in the late Jlr. J. T. Paget. All present stood in silence as a mark of respect aud the secretary advised that a telegram of condolence and a floral tribute had been sent to Jlrs. Paget. It was decided that on Friday evening next the Pahiatua Patriotic Entertaiuers will hold a real night out. From 8 p.m. the Commercial Town Squaro will be a carnival centre with sideshows and entertainment galore,
and all proceeds will be for the Pahiatua and District 1944 Patriotic Appeal. To sav farewell to Mrs. C. S. Carrnd, a member who is leaving the district, it was decided to hold a sneial evening in the Masonic Hall on Wednesday next.
