Russian Drive on Finland Reported

LONDON, March 8. An unconfirmed Stockholm report says the Russians have launched a powerful attack against Finland. The Red Army’s aim appears to be a drive across the waist of Finland to the Gulf of Bothnia, severing the 100,000 Gorman troops in the north from their headquarters in the south. The Evening Standard says that General Dietl, the German commander, ig regrouping his troops around Petsamo, in the far north. He will make a desperate attempt to hold the north of Finland, hut if this fails he will fall back into Norway.
