Accidentally Drowned

Tho inquest covering the death of Gunner John Kenneth AlarshalJ, who was drowned at the Hiniataugi beach on February' 9, 19-4-1, was held in Palmerston North yesterday. The finding of the Coroner, Mr. A. J. Graham, was that, deceased had been accidentally drowned. Air. Graham suggested to the police that warning notices to swimmers should be prominently' displayed at and near the mouths of the West Coast rivers. He also commended the efforts of Alexander Gilbert Todd to save his comrade.
