Squash Rackets
Though the war has continued to make inroads in the membership of the Palmerston North Squash Rackets Club a number of new members have joined and the total now is 177 (including 87 in the Forces). During the year, the club’s report say's, the death occurred of Air. H. N. Watson, who was virtually responsible for the inauguration ot squash rackets in New Zealand and who took an extremely great interest in the club, having been either president oi patron since its inception. During the year Air. W. S. Fox, who was one ot the first to enlist on the outbreak ot war returned to New Zealand, and has been honourably' discharged from the Forces. Alembers will be glad to learn that he is raakiug a good recovery from his injuries and the club expresses its pleasure at seeing Air. Fox back again. The report, after relating steps taken to meet the shortage of balls, states that it is hoped that there are now sufficient in hand to last for the coming season.
