Portuguese Envoy to Visit Timor
Received Wednesday, 9.50 p.m. LISBON, March 8. Dr. Salazar (Prime Minister) announced that following negotiations between Portugal and Japan, a Portu guese envoy was going to Timor to inquire into the situation which has developed there since the Japanese landing. He added: * ‘ The Government has long demanded this inquiry as a preliminary to negotiations for a solution of the incident created by the violation of Portuguese territory.”
