Woodville Plunket Society
A meeting of the committee of the Woodville was held on Monday afternoon when Mrs. H. P. Horne presided over a good attendance. The secretary was authorised to pay to the Pahiatua branch the half-yearly contribution £l7/10/-; also £4 allowance for the nurse’s travelling expenses. A motion of sympathy was passed with Mrs W. J. Miller who is undergoing treatment in hospital. Preliminary arrangements were made in connection with the annual meeting to be held towards the end of April and it was decided to invite Dr Anderson, the school medical officer, to be the speaker on that occasion. Nurse Tinkham’s report for the quarter is as follows: Visits to homes, December 5, January 3, February 0; visits to district, 4,4, 4; visits to office, adults 86, 124, 117; babies 79, 117, 112; children, 3,9, 7; total 168, 250, 236; number of new babies, 2,4, 3; number of babies on books 8G; pre-school children 41.
